Castaño del Robledo is a small village founded in the 16th Century. Its name is due to the most frequent tree, origin of the resources of the area and emblem of the National Park and on the other hand due to the former primitive forest, an oak grove. We will see old chestnut trees at the exit of the village, nice panoramic views and after remarkable slopes the ravines of Casares. If we go in the rainy season, it is worthy to consult how to get to a spectacular waterfall, named Chorros de Ollarancos. How to get there: If we get to Castaño del Robledo by the second access coming from Fuenteheridos, we will find the sign indicating the beginning of the path, just before entering the village.
