FOLLOWING THE RIVER GUADIANA
The navigable stretch of the Guadiana River is of aproximately 68 km starting at its mouth. There are touristic cruise ships which start in Ayamonte and go up the river, discovering a unique natural environment, heading to Sanlúcar de Guadiana and its Portuguese neighbour village Alcoutím.
During the journey you will leave behind various Portuguese villages brightening up the left bank of the river: Foz de Odeleite, Alame, Guerreiros do Rio, Torneiro up to the village Alcoutim and its homonym on the Spanish side: Sanlúcar de Guadiana. From Sanlúcar to Mértola (Portugal) the trip can only be undertaken by small boats and sailing boats which can be hired in Ayamonte
